Looking at your business costs?
With only a glimmer of improvement in UK plc, now more than ever it is vitally important to keep your business costs down to a minimum. With more and more consumers paying for tiles and fixing services with their credit card it is worthwhile carrying out an exercise on how much your PDQ machine is costing you, and therefore reducing your profit margin.
We thought you may like to see a case study involving TTA member, Alltile Ceramics, who have just signed up to the TTA Barclaycard Preferential Scheme. Alltile Ceramics had contacted Barclaycard and were quoted 2.07% on consumer credit cards and 80.5p per debit card. They then called us for details of the TTA Scheme and were quoted 1.1795% on consumer cards and 19p per debit card.
These figures will give you an idea of the savings Alltile Ceramics have made by signing up:
Details of all the rates and possible savings:
The TTA Barclaycard Scheme has no joining fee for TTA members, £150 for non members
*Debit card transactions are a set cost per transaction
Commercial Credit Cards: 1.80%
Terminal Rental: £14.95 + VAT per month for a countertop terminal, £24.95 + VAT per month for a portable terminal

Incidentally, we undertook an exercise on our PDQ costings and calculated that by using the TTA Barclaycard Preferential Scheme we had saved £270.78 over a 12 month period to April 2010.
