TTA Golf Challenge 2009

On the day of TTA Awards event 25th April, the 2009 Tile Association Golf Challenge took place on the Belfry’s PGA Course. The competition was a Stableford Competition, with the added incentive of prizes for the longest drive on the 18th Hole, and Closest to the Pin on the 3rd Hole.

Everyone arrived bright and early	Although it wasn’t very bright....It did clear up later
There was considerable discussion and adjustment to handicaps	And the weather got worse

Playing for Mapei Dave Nelson, Gordon Smith, Phil Breakspear and Kevin Field	Playing for BASF Construction Jon Hall, Michael Halewood, Shane Arbuckle and Andrew Walker
Playing for Banks & Lloyd Peter Hughes, Ian Roberts, Darryl Shaw and Mark Rahman	For Armatile Paul Quinn and Martin Kelly who had flown in that morning for a 10.10 tee off and for Alberti & Santi UK Ltd Marcus Bentley and Paul Selway
For WB Simpson Midlands Richard Friebe, Daniel Friebe and Paul Starkey playing with John Kennedy of B Darnton & Co Ltd	The last player to tee off, Daniel Friebe, and the weather is starting to improve. The rain had stopped and later in the morning it became a very pleasant day.

Sean Lane had a very good day. He won the competition, nearest the pin and the longest drive.
