Assessor

There are a number of vacancies for assessors who can check workmanship of wall and floor tilers around the United Kingdom. The role of an assessor will be to review the work of individual tiling contractors to establish whether or not they meet the necessary criteria to achieve an NVQ in wall and floor tile fixing.

	Steve Dennis has been promoted to Senior Business Development Manager at Schlüter-Systems. Training and educating the tiling industry are a top priority for Steve who has been with the company for seven years.
	Sarah Rose has joined the team at Instarmac Group plc as Marketing Manager. Sarah will bring over 8 years industry experience in marketing and communications to the company, aiding the promotion, acceleration and development of both the ULTRACRETE and ULTRA brands.
	Tim Barrett has been appointed by Granfix Products as their National Contracts Manager. Tim has 20 years of technical experience within the contract tiling and flooring industry, having previously worked for Ardex UK and Pilkington’s Tiles.
David Nash H&E Smith has appointed David Nash as their Specification Manager to cover London and the South East. He will be working with architects,design studios and house builders introducing both H&E Smiths own range of ceramic tiles and their imported wall and floor tiles. David has over 20 years experience within the construction industry and his appointment will strengthen the company's position within the UK marketplace. Stephen Pill has joined Mapei (UK) Ltd as Sales Manager for the central south area. He has previously worked for Royal Dutch Sphinx and BAL Tabitha Davies is The Tile Association’s first female fixer member. Tabitha was tiling runner up at Skillbuild 2004 and was TTA Best Newcomer award winner in 2005. Check out her website at www.tabithas-tiling.co.uk. Steve Whitehurst has been appointed as Marketing Director by Craven Dunnill. Steve previously worked for H & R Johnson Tiles for 20 years ,during that time he worked closely with Craven Dunnill’s sister company Craven Dunnill Jackfield. Paul Harris has been promoted to the position of Sales and Marketing Director by Leading tile adhesive and grout manufacturer, Building Adhesives. The new position, as part of the firm’s executive team, reflects the positive impact Paul has had since his arrival at Building Adhesives in 2005 as Head of Sales.
