Colchester Tile Area Manager honoured with Olympic flame relay

Paul Salmon, Essex and Kent Area Sales Manager for Colchester Tiles was chosen to carry the Olympic flame through Brentwood recently, cheered by enthusiastic local crowds who lined the entire route.

Paul, who lives in Colne Engaine, Essex, is well known in the area for his charitable money raising activities in addition to becoming a volunteer for the First Responders, a helper with the local Brownie pack and organiser of a thriving school athletics club.

Paul’s recent relay Channel swim raised over £5000 for local charities. With his passion for swimming, he has raised money for many causes including Macmillan Nurses and Marie Curie.

As Ian Crowther, Managing Director of Colchester Tiles observed “Paul brings the highest levels of enthusiasm and commitment to everything he does, be it at work or his charitable activities, he certainly deserves the honour of carrying the Olympic flame”.
