TTA doing its job!
Last week we took two calls into the office within a matter of minutes from consumers who had work undertaken by so called tilers. From the outset it was obvious they needed help.
The first phone call ended up with a TTA member coming to the rescue of the consumer, so much so that the family could at last take a shower and use the family bathroom. The second call resulted in a technical inspection report, which the consumer is taking to court as part of a claim against the tiler.
The lesson here was not to use rogue tile fixers. How can consumers be sure that they are employing an experienced tradesman and not a cowboy? That is easy; TTA advocates only use tradesmen who are members of a specific trade association. A trade association such as TTA, will not accept just any company as a member.
Each company, contractor and tiling fixer that wishes to join The Tile Association is carefully checked for financial, technical and service standards. For all projects, large or small, consumers need confidence that the people taking on the job are skilled professionals, and it is our task to put this message across to your customers
