The International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, Cersaie, finished on Friday 26th September bringing the 42nd edition to a close. Five days were dedicated to innovation, networking, and discovering high-quality products, bringing together international leaders and companies from around the world.
94,577 attendees visited across sixteen fully occupied pavilions – equivalent to a total of 155,000 square meters. The event hosted 627 companies, including 343 from the ceramic tile sector, 98 from bathroom furnishings, and 186 from installation, raw materials, new surfaces, and service activities. For Augusto Ciarrochi, President of Confindustria Ceramica, Cersaie’s “remarkable appeal” is how it allows exhibitors to maximise their investments through the quality of distributors, architects, installers and real estate professionals that attend.
Cersaie’s press event held on Tuesday 23rd September in The Square Auditorium at the BolognaFiere Service Centre, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), attracted over 150 journalists from every continent.
Presenting on ceramic trends, Cristina Faedi, tile consultant and founder of ‘Infinite Possibilities’, used the opportunity to illustrate this season’s trending formats, patterns, colours, and textures. In particular, she noted the ‘pentagram’, with three-dimensional patterns created by incisions and streaks; the ‘moderato con gioventù’, characterised by the balanced colour palettes present in this year’s ceramic collections; the ‘largo’, a solemn and majestic pattern reminiscent of ceramic marble; and the ‘accent’, with emphasis emphasis placed on gold surfaces or those with gloss and matte effects.
Armando Cafiero, Director General of Confindustria Ceramica and CEO of Gas Intensive, argued that to address the challenges facing the Italian and European construction market, we need housing plans aimed at younger generations and funded by public investment, alongside support for realistic alternatives to natural gas in order to provide sustainable reforms that continue to grow and maintain quality jobs.

The Tile Association would like to extend deep thanks to Confindustria Ceramica for their kind invitation. It was wonderful for TTA to take part in a roundtable discussion for specialist tile associations worldwide, chaired by Confindustria Ceramica and organised by Simone Ricci, joining representatives from America, Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Morocco, Spain and Switzerland.
All had the same objective to increase tile training, new entrants to tiling and the promotion of tiles.
This exhibition is set to return for its 43rd edition from 21st to 25th September 2026 in Bologna.
