TTA Membership is open to businesses who are principally engaged in the wall and floor tile industry and who meet the criteria for their sector. Companies are to confirm the following:
Distributor/Retailer
- Full company details
- Completed a minimum of two years of trading
- Company turnover and submit annual accounts for the previous financial year
- Submit Customer Care policy (or comply with TTA Customer Care Policy)
- Submit Employers’ Liability proof of insurance
- Submit Public Liability proof of insurance
- Pass a credit check and verification that they have no un-discharged bankruptcies or outstanding county court judgements
- Comply with all UK legislation required to run their businesses
- A minimum of 50% of business is wall and floor tiles and associated products
- Comply with TTA Code of Practice
Manufacturer
- Full company details
- Completed a minimum of two years of trading
- Company turnover and submit annual accounts for the previous financial year
- Submit Customer Care policy (or comply with TTA Customer Care Policy)
- Submit Employers’ Liability proof of insurance
- Submit Public Liability proof of insurance
- Pass a credit check and verification that they have no un-discharged bankruptcies or outstanding county court judgements
- Comply with all UK legislation required to run their businesses
- Comply with current environmental legislation for manufacturers
- May be asked by TTA to supply trade and market statistics and maintain confidentiality under the Competitions Act
- Comply with TTA Code of Practice
Independent Tile Fixer
(employs up to 2 tile fixers – excludes apprentices and admin staff)
- Full company details
- Type of work undertaken – Domestic/Commercial/Industrial
- Details of two project references
- Submit Public Liability proof of insurance
- Comply with TTA Customer Care Policy
- Comply with all UK legislation required to run their business
- Confirmation that the company works to BS5385 and TTA technical publications
- Comply with TTA Code of Practice
Contractor
(employs 3 or more tile fixers)
- Full company details
- Completed a minimum of two years of trading
- Type of work undertaken – Domestic/Commercial/Industrial
- Details of two project references
- Company turnover and submit annual accounts for the previous financial year
- Submit Customer Care policy (or comply with TTA Customer Care Policy)
- Submit Employers’ Liability proof of insurance
- Submit Public Liability proof of insurance
- Pass a credit check and verification that they have no un-discharged bankruptcies or outstanding county court judgements
- May be asked by TTA for confirmation that the company works to BS5385 and TTA technical publications

Associate
