See our Gallery – A very challenging job in a 170 year old property using 1800 x 900 x 10mm with a very heavy glaze which could not be scored, and then snapped as the wheel couldn’t get deep enough to score the porcelain itself. In the end, we found scoring the glaze then cutting with a water fed tracksaw, for bookmatch pieces running the blade between two score lines worked best. The window wall is one of the stand-out features in this room and also one of our greatest challenges as an installer. The window reveals were up to 25mm difference from the next and the wall ran 65mm out of square to the rest of the room. Quite a lot of prep work later and countless hours mitring it’s created a space that the client adores as well as being one of our personal favourites too.
Harbour Design Interiors Ltd were TTA Award finalists in 2022, 2023, and 2025 as well as winning Highly Commended in 2022 and Shane Collins winning Tile Fixer of the Year in 2025. We are once finalists this year 2026, in the Best Domestic Project Category – This project involved delivering two en-suites and a master bathroom from full preparation through to completion. I was responsible for all stages, including former shower trays , tanking, boarding and installing xl format 3200 × 1600 × 6mm porcelain slabs. The project allowed me to develop solutions for features such as bookmatched walls, tiled arched window reveals, and a mitred, backlit shower wall, making it a particularly satisfying project.
