The Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) is investigating imports of creamy/white limestone from Portugal in the forms of slab and finished stone. The TRA is considering whether to place tariffs on this product in its effort to protect UK businesses from unfair trade practices.

The case, which was initiated on 14th January 2026, is now seeking industry feedback. A short survey will be open until 31st July 2026 and will be anonymously used to help the TRA understand the effects that these tariffs could have on UK industries and consumers. This survey is intended for UK businesses who buy creamy/white limestone or UK businesses who produce parts used in the production of creamy/white limestone.
